Red Hills 4-2-2017

On April 2, 2017 we took our first trip to the Red Hills ACEC (Area of Critical Environmental Concern). A little before we got to Red Hills ACEC proper (between Chinese Camp and Red Hills), we came across someone's yard that was just solid with yellow flowers, and also had many nice wildflowers by the road (I suspect planted by the people who live there). Once we got into Red Hills itself, we also found some nice patches and variety of wild flowers, although many of them were somewhat spread out. At any rate, we found this to be a very worthwhile place to visit for flowers.
