Grand Canyon Gallery

We took a vacation to the Grand Canyon in 2011, visiting both the South Rim and the North Rim. We were there during thunder storm season, and went well over a week without having a day without rain. While this wasn't ideal for hiking, it did provide the opportunities for some fantastic photography.

  • Moran Point has been good to me. I've seen very few double rainbows in my life. One of them was on my first trip to the Grand Canyon in 2000 following a thunder storm.   • I don't know that I have ever seen a phenomenon quite like this before. We had an orange sunset, but apparently<br /> some clouds were positioned just right to block the orange in a particular place, creating a "V" where the orange<br /> was missing.
