Death Valley 2013 - Day 1 - Artists Drive Loop
Our first day at Death Valley started and ended at our campground at the Panamint Springs Resort, but the bulk of our photographic time during the day was spent photographing around the Artists Drive loop road in the park. These are all things you can photograph without walking very far from your car.
With this trip being in mid-March, the temperatures at our campground were in the mid 70s (F), but the temperatures got a lot hotter when you got below sea level, with the temperatures at Furnace Creek in the low 90s (but with humidity below 10%).
