Death Valley 2013 - Day 6 - Rhyolite, Badwater, Golden Canyon
Following Ryholite, we continued on to Badwater to see what was there (and to say we had been to the lowest point in the continental 48 states). We ended our day walking in Golden Canyon, which is a good place to be near sundown.
A person walks down the stream-bed-like canyon floor. The sides have yellowish colors in the nearer canyon, and on to the reds and browns of the rock layers of the farther wall pointing to the blue sky. The far-left canyon wall is dark red. (3/22/2013, Golden Canyon, Death Valley NP)
