Death Valley 2013 - Day 6 - Rhyolite, Badwater, Golden Canyon
Out 6th and final day in Death Valley started out at the ghost town of Rhyolite. Given photos I had seen from Rhyolite, I was a bit disappointed when I got there to find out that most of the buildings have now been fenced off. Given the issues of vandalism and sue-happy people in modern times I can understand why this has been done, but it does mean there are distinct limitations on where you can photograph now without having fences in your images.
Following Ryholite, we continued on to Badwater to see what was there (and to say we had been to the lowest point in the continental 48 states). We ended our day walking in Golden Canyon, which is a good place to be near sundown.
