Lassen 2009, Day 6 - Kings Creek Falls, Manzanita Lake

Our first hike this day was to Kings Creek Falls. The trail starts out in a nice meadow. Going down, we then took the horse-trail fork which gave us some higher views of the cascades on Kings Creek leading down to the falls. On the return trip we took the main trail that runs right next to Kings Creek, giving many spectacular views of its cascades (but it probably isn't a trail for people who aren't sure footed).

We then finished the day with a walk around Manzanita Lake, which I think gives better reflection photos of Lassen Peak and Chaos Crags than Reflection Lake does.
