Lassen 2009, Day 8 - Crystal & Baum Lakes, Subway Cave
We visited Crystal and Baum Lakes. Compared to the lakes in Lassen Volcanic National Park, I don't consider these very scenic. However, they did have great collections of water fowl. I got a couple of opportunities to photograph Osprey with fish they had caught, as well as lots of pelicans.
At sundown, we stopped at Subway Cave, which is a large lava tube with a good trail. After being treated to a spectacular sunset, we took the short trip through the cave.
